The private equity team of SKYE PARTNERS has provided legal advice to Plumettaz Holding SA (“Plumettaz”), a portfolio company of Invision Beteiligungsberatung GmbH (“Invision”) on the acquisition of Jakob Thaler. The former owners and Plumettaz have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transaction.
Jakob Thaler is one of the largest suppliers in the field of cable laying and spooling machines in Germany. Jakob Thaler covers the entire production in the field of underground cable laying, including sales and manufacturing. Jakob Thaler’s national and international customers include civil engineering companies, telecommunications and energy supply companies, municipalities and distribution companies. Jakob Thaler’s product range covers the entire field of underground cable laying from micro cables to cables of the high-voltage sector. Jakob Thaler’s decades of experience in these fields have enabled it to establish a firm place in the market.
Founded in 1923, Plumettaz is a Swiss-based leading company in the development, manufacture and worldwide distribution of high-tech cable-laying solutions with a focus on digitalised machines for the telecommunications and energy industries. Plumettaz machines combine advanced technology, cable laying expertise and software to provide equipment for the major infrastructure challenges of our time: global fibre roll-out and sustainable energy supply using renewable energies.
